DESCRIPTION
The plinth was formed from a massive fragment of Calcite onyx. The varied mineral composition of water that once circulated in the cave endowed the stone with a multidimensional palette of greys, beiges and browns. The simple form orders the stone's organic pattern and allows the object to be used as a display base, side table or a standalone sculptural element.
The natural layers and colour transitions are part of the character of this particular specimen.
